GEORGETOWN, Del.- A Sussex County Superior Court Judge denied a challenge to Governor Carney's mask mandate, Friday morning.

Friday morning, a small group of demonstrators gathered in front of the Sussex County Courthouse . They were there to support an individuals lawsuit to try and stop the mandate, claiming the Governor's order is unconstitutional.

"They're mandating the mask mandate. They're losing jobs in our state. The state of Delaware is losing jobs. People are losing their jobs every day. My son is in the Marine Corps and he had to get the vaccine...they are mandating vaccines. It is not just the masks it's the whole ball of this," said one demonstrator, Kim Wills.

After hearing arguments, Judge Mark Conner denied the challenge. WRDE contacted the Governor's office for comment, but has not received a response.Â
