On Tuesday morning, the Sussex County Council could approve a Memorandum of Understanding with Dewey Beach over plans for a new town hall.
Dewey Beach officials are hoping to have this facility built on the current site of the Code Enforcement building on Coastal Highway.
Initial plans called for $8.6 million for the project, but over the course of last summer, work has continued to bring that figure down.
A new police headquarters and an EMS unit are part of the design for the town hall.
The town is considering creating a mural on the side of the new building to raise additional funds by donations of people living in Dewey Beach.
