DELAWARE - DNREC is organizing a variety of Earth Month events throughout April to promote environmental awareness and community involvement statewide.
In Sussex County, the DuPont Nature Center in Milford will lead a Slaughter Beach cleanup on April 22 at 10 a.m. Volunteers will gather at the Slaughter Beach Pavilion to help remove trash and protect local wildlife habitats.
Also in Milford, children and families are invited to Storybook Saturday on April 26 at 11 a.m. at the DuPont Nature Center. The Earth Day-themed program includes a nature-focused story reading and a hands-on craft aimed at teaching environmental responsibility.

The Christina River Watershed Cleanup in New Castle County on April 12
An Earth and Arbor Day Celebration in Wilmington on April 17
A marsh hike and seedling potting activity in Dover on April 26
