REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced that Route 1 will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes in both directions on Monday, Oct. 2.
In addition, the department says one of the left turn lanes from Old Landing Road will be closed.
During the closure, the department says crews will be installing a new manhole. Work is expected to be done by Wednesday, Oct. 4.
The department asks drivers to slow down while driving in work zones.
These closures and work take place among a larger project in that area, where lanes are being re-allocated.
