LEWES, Del. - The Lewes Public Library will continue its live performance series through the month of July. SummerScape 2025 will take place each Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the library's new outdoor pavilion.
July 9: The premiere of Delaware Shakespeare's new summer festival piece, a musical adaptation of Twelfth Night.
July 16: A presentation by Maryland's Harriet Tubman Museum.
July 23: A demonstration from the Lewes Historical Society.
July 30: Historian Paul Sparrow and Broadway producer and performer Tina Maria Casamento discuss the legacy of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The discussion will be followed by a performance of the duo's songs from Casamento and David Libby on piano.
Adult Program Coordinator Rebecca Lowe said the library's new outdoor space helps them further connect with the community.
Registration is needed to reserve seating directly under the pavilion, but anyone can bring their own chairs and blankets to watch from the lawn.
Locals can look forward to future planned presentations on AI, a performance by First State Ballet and analysis on local artist Jack Lewis. Events conclude in mid-September. More information on future events and registration is available online at lewes.lib.de.us.
