MILTON, Del. -Ā Locals in Milton expressed growing concerns about infrastructure as Milton continues to grow, with five developments in the works.
In Milton, Dave Vitella was walking down Round Pole Bridge Road. It's a road he's lived on for 28 years and a road that will soon be home to a new development, Twin Masts.
"I think it would benefit everybody, even the developers, if everybody stops and takes a deep breath and really looks at what's going on and says, okay, all right, let's look at the bigger picture here," said Vitella.
In Milton there are five future developments. Some are already under construction. Some just had a public hearing.
Those developments are:
- Twin Masts on Round Pole Bridge Road.
- Symphony Glen and Windscape Farms on Pettyjohn Road
- Four Winds on Shingle Point RoadĀ
- A new part of Cannery Village on Front Street
- The Granary on Sandhill Road
Scott Surra lives just a stone throw from The Granary construction.
"I'm a realist. I understand growth's going to happen. I just want it to be done smartly. I want the elected officials to do their job, use due diligence to figure out what needs to be done and act in the best interests of the constituents that they have," Surra explaiened.
Symphony Glen just had a public hearing on Wednesday, June 4. If approved, the development would have nine Sussex County Habitat for Humanity homes within it.
