GEORGETOWN, Del. - Friends and family of one of the victims of the Georgetown fatal shooting at El Nopalito Restaurant gathered to say their final goodbyes.
The viewing for Honorio Velasquez was held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown, and he was laid to rest at the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery.
Many loved ones say they wore army green in his honor because that was his favorite color.
Cousins of Velasquez told WRDE they are also grateful for the communities support during this difficult time.
"He was the one person who always lifted the atmosphere and we're here today because not only do we love him, we're going to miss him dearly, but we're here to support the family, we're here to move forward together we are one," said Russell Velasquez.
The second victim of the shooting, Armando Vicente Chilel Lopez was laid to rest in Mexico, where his mother got to say her final goodbyes, and a viewing was held in Georgetown for his loved ones in Sussex county. The family tells WRDE this was possible due to the communities support.
Two brothers in Milford were arrested as the suspects of the El Nopalito shooting in late January for first-degree murder among other charges.
