OCEAN CITY, MD - Weighing in at 1,600lbs and standing at 17.3 hands tall is "Major," Ocean City Police Department's newest recruit.
"Major" was one of three names offered for selection in a public survey. Survey participants additionally had "Angus" and "Jasper" to choose from, however, an overwhelming 51% of voters felt "Major" was an appropriate name for the seven-year-old Clydesdale.
According to OCPD, the social media survey was answered by the public 4,809 times.
