MILFORD, Del. - A 21-year-old Milford man was arrested Wednesday after police say he dropped a gun while exiting his car in the Milford High School pickup line.
Milford Police say Joshua Walker arrived at the high school’s parent pickup area shortly after dismissal on May 28. As he stepped out of his car, a gun fell from his person. While attempting to place the gun back in his waistband, a student saw the weapon and immediately alerted school staff.
School staff notified School Resource Officer S/Cpl. Golding, who quickly located Walker, detained him, and safely took the gun without incident.
Investigators say there is no evidence Walker intended to harm anyone, and there are no threats to any schools in the Milford School District.
