MILTON, Del. - A Millsboro man is behind bars after Delaware State Police uncovered heroin, a loaded handgun and thousands in suspected drug proceeds during a search of a Milton property.
On April 3, members of the Sussex County Drug Unit and Governor’s Task Force executed a search warrant at a home on the 30000 block of Stockley Road. The warrant was part of an investigation into 29-year-old Deion White, suspected of distributing drugs.
Just before the search, detectives say they observed White leaving the house in a white Ford Fusion. The car was pulled over for having improper window tint and for running a stop sign at Beaver Dam Road and Stockley Road. White was detained without incident.
A search of White and the property led detectives to recover approximately 196.95 grams of heroin, a .357 handgun, and $2,324 in suspected drug proceeds.
White was taken to Troop 4 where he was charged with multiple felonies, including:
Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

He also faces traffic violations for improper window tinting and failure to stop at a stop sign. White was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $203,002 cash bond.
