GEORGETOWN, Del. - For many people, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a day of service to give back to causes in their communities. One volunteer opportunity on Delmarva is with the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
The organization is inviting people who have Martin Luther King Day off from work, which is January 15, 2024, to use it as a day of service. Registration is now open to give back to animals in need at various Brandywine Valley SPCA locations, including the Georgetown Campus and Animal Rescue Center on Shingle Point Rd. in Georgetown.
Training is provided onsite, according to the nonprofit. The registration link can be found on Brandywine Valley SPCA's Facebook page.
