GEORGETOWN, Del. - In a heartwarming gesture of love and compassion, a generous donor has stepped forward to sponsor the adoption fees for many dogsat the Brandywine Valley SPCA. This remarkable act of kindness is being done in loving memory of their own cherished canine companions, Gabriel and Emma. From now until the end of the year, adoption fees for all large adult dogs, aged one year or older, and weighing 40 pounds or more, will be covered.

The Brandywine Valley SPCA is thrilled to share this news and is hoping it will encourage more families to open their hearts and homes to these large, mature dogs. If you've been considering adding a new member to your family, there's no better time than now to make that decision. By adopting one of these wonderful dogs, you not only provide a loving home but also create space for another animal in need.

The shelter is open with regular hours this week, though it will close at 3 pm on New Year's Eve. Please note that they will be closed on New Year's Day, allowing their dedicated staff and volunteers to enjoy the holiday with their own families and friends.

This holiday season, as you gather with loved ones and celebrate the joys of life, consider giving the gift of a forever home to a deserving, larger, and more mature dog.
