REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - A North American Aerospace Defense Command F-16 fighter aircraft responded to a civilian aircraft over Rehoboth Beach on Saturday.
According to the agency, the civilian aircraft violated a Temporary Flight Rules area at 10:10 a.m. E.T. Saturday and was escorted out of the area. During this event, the intercepting aircraft dispensed flares. The agency says those flares may have been visible to people in order to communicate with the pilot.
