SELBYVILLE, Del. — The Indian River School District has a number of open spots to fill on its Citizens Budget Oversight Committee. The group is tasked with reviewing finances and providing input on the district’s budgeting process.
The committee includes the district’s superintendent, director of finance, and 10 citizen members.
For those looking to join the committee, a letter of interest must be submitted and a membership application must be completed. A resume detailing qualifications, experience, references or community involvement is also requested.
Citizen members will serve a minimum two-year term, with the possibility of up to three additional two-year terms, subject to approval by the Indian River Board of Education. Meetings are held quarterly at a minimum and will serve in an advisory capacity.
