According to state police, the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

LEWES, Del. – A pedestrian was injured on Friday May 23, after being struck by a pickup truck in Lewes, according to Delaware State Police.

The crash occurred on May 23, at approximately 3:36 p.m., DSP said. Troopers responded to a crash involving a 2019 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old man from Lewes and an 83-year-old male pedestrian, also from Lewes.

According to state police, the pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

No details about the circumstances of the crash have been released, and no citations have been issued at this time, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
