REHOBOTH BEACH Del.- Roadwork is picking back up in Rehoboth Beach this April as the Delaware Department of Transportation returns to complete paving along Rehoboth Avenue.
Work was paused in December due to cold weather, but DelDOT plans to restart milling and paving during the second week of April.

In the fall, DELDOT completed paving from the bandstand to 2nd Street - meaning they will begin where they left off, between 2nd Street and the traffic circle. The goal is to complete the work within a month.
This next phase includes permanent striping east of 2nd Street, which is expected to result in minimal traffic disruptions.
Drivers should expect lane closures, flaggers on site, and some traffic delays while the work is underway. The full project is scheduled to be completed by May 16, just in time for the summer season.
