REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The Grove Park Canal Dock has reopened following a structural review, according to the City of Rehoboth Beach. According to city staff, the dock is now open daily from sunrise to sunset. Private boats may use the two slips for up to 30 minutes to load and unload passengers and supplies.

The dock was closed earlier this year by Rehoboth Beach officials due to signs of settling along the retaining wall. After a city-commissioned evaluation, it was determined that the dock is safe for public use. City staff said the site will continue to be monitored monthly to assess conditions.

Rehoboth Beach officials emphasized that while the dock has reopened, monitoring and evaluation efforts will continue, and the municipality is still considering potential long-term solutions for the site.
