SALISBURY, Md. - The Shore Living Expo kicked off this Saturday at the Wicomico Youth Center in Salisbury.Â
Shore Living Expo is an event showcasing different businesses, artisans, and vendors from all across Delmarva.
The event had coffee businesses, patio building, appliances, homemade spices to name a few on display. CoastTV's own Madeleine Overturf and Ana Sofia Roman were some of the talent there to greet visitors who came from far and wide.
One local Brian Huntington said the expo is something great for him and his kids.
"Good to see the different artisans that are here, just really nice," Huntington said. "It's really clean, well lit and it's just something that got my kids out of the house on a Saturday."
Clare Shockley owns her own peanut brittle business and said the people she's encountered today really embody the area she grew up in.
"The people I've seen are very down to earth and kind of true grit to the eastern shore," Shockley said.
Wanda Guyton, who owns a coffee business in Rehoboth, said events like this are important for small businesses like hers and for people to see what Delmarva has to offer.
"At the expo they have a variety of vendors that you wouldn't think you are coming to an expo," Guyton said. "You'll experience candles or body scrubs or coffee and sugar and tea, so I think it's something here for everyone."
