T.J. Maxx opens Rehoboth Beach location

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - T.J. Maxx opened in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday morning. The store is located near the Aldi and the space previously occupied by andThat!, near the Chick-fil-a off of Route 1.

A crowd gathered outside the new T.J. Maxx as it opened on Oct. 1, just in time for the fall and winter shopping season. The store is known for selling clothing and home decor at low prices.

T.J. Maxx is the latest change to the shopping center, which has seen multiple stores come and go in the past few years. The building used to house the only Kmart on Delmarva, which downsized and began its pre-closing sales in late 2019. Since then, the building has been renovated and divided into multiple stores, including the current locations of Aldi and PetSmart.
