MILFORD, Del. - The Milford Museum will present "Lincoln's Last Hours" on April 12 at 1 p.m. at The Milford Public Library.

Hosted by freelance reporter Kathryn Canavan, the Milford Museum says this presentation, as part of the museum's American History Series, will focus on the experiences of ordinary people who were caught up in the nation's first presidential assassination, including those boarded up in the house across from where Lincoln spent his hours.

The museum says the event will showcase how these ordinary people provided information to the Metropolitan Police that they were not aware of, including how John Wilkes Booth, Lincoln's assassin, had slept in the same bed weeks prior that President Lincoln would later pass away on.

The library is located at 11 S.E. Front Street in Milford. These programs are offered through a generous grant from The Delaware Heritage Commission.
