MILLSBORO, Del. - A truck carrying wood chips overturned on Route 113 on Friday, Nov. 10 at approximately 9:30 a.m., according to Delaware State Police.

Police say a 2015 Kenworth tractor-trailer, driven by a 32-year-old man from Malvern, Pennsylvania, was turning northbound on Route 113 from Dagsboro Road.

Troopers say as the truck was turning, the front left tire blew out causing it to overturn in the northbound lane, spilling the load of wood chips that it was carrying.

Police say the driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the driver of the truck was cited for operating an unsafe vehicle.

Police say Route 113 northbound was closed for approximately three hours while the scene was investigated, and the roadway was cleared.
