OCEAN CITY, Md. — Two people were arrested in Ocean City after a multi-agency drug bust.Â
According to the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, the Criminal Enforcement Team—which includes members of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean City Police Department, Maryland State Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration—had been investigating Patrick Anthony Sabatino for months. Authorities suspected that Sabatino was dealing with a number of controlled substances including crack cocaine, powder cocaine, and crystal meth.
Investigators claim Sabatino sold drugs to an undercover narcotics detective on multiple occasions. Investigators say that based on those transactions, a search and seizure warrant was issued for his home on Colonial Road.
On April 3 that warrant was executed and authorities say they found seven people inside the home, they added that most of those people were known to law enforcement and had histories of drug use. The search uncovered just a trace amount of controlled substances along with drug paraphernalia, money, and multiple cell phones.
Sabatino, 43, of Ocean City, was arrested and charged with seven counts of CDS distribution. He was held without bond after an appearance before a Maryland District Court Commissioner.
Rebecca Ann Bivans, 39, also of Ocean City, was arrested on an outstanding violation of probation warrant issued by the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. She was also held without bond.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are under review.
