SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury Fire Department was on the scene of a building fire on Delaware Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's office said the fire was an accident, caused by flammable items too close to a heat source in a second floor bedroom.
Though first responders initially advised the public to be cautious in that area, the fire was controlled within 30 minutes. It's estimated there is $50,000 of damage to the home and another $20,000 for belongings.
