A homicide investigation is underway in Fruitland after a 27-year-old was found dead in a home on April 25. A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder. Maryland State Police are leading the investigation.

LAUREL, Del. - Delaware State Police have identified 18-year-old Kylee Robinson of Laurel as the victim who died in a shooting on Sunday, Oct. 29 in Laurel.

Police confirmed with CoastTV Sunday evening that three teenage boys were shot in Laurel on Sunday afternoon and one of them was killed. On Monday, police released the ages of the boys and say there are two unknown suspects.

Police say on Tuesday, Oct. 31, the 15-year-old boy was released from a hospital, while the 13-year-old boy remains admitted in stable condition.

Police say as of now, homicide detectives believe the violent actions by the suspects were specifically directed at either all or one of the three boys.

Delaware State Police say the shooting happened around 2:45 p.m. on West Seventh Street. They arrived to find Robinson on a porch with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two additional victims, 13- and 15-year-old boys, had been shot in their legs. They were also found by police on the porch and were taken to an area hospital.

Delaware State Police told CoastTV News Sunday night that, while no arrests have been made, this appears to be an isolated incident and they believe there is no threat to the public. The circumstances of the shooting were unclear Sunday night, though more details were released Monday.

The Laurel Police Department requested that the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assume the investigation. Preliminary findings revealed that two unknown suspects approached the victims on foot and started shooting. After multiple rounds were fired, police say the suspects ran away in an unknown direction. The investigation has determined that this was not the result of an active shooter situation.

Hours after the shooting on Sunday, West Street near Center Street was closed for several hours. Though residents were originally kept away, Laurel police said Sunday evening that anyone who lives in that area would have access to their houses in the area when deemed appropriate.
