MILFORD, Del- A car drove into the Dollar Tree on Lexus Drive in Milford Saturday afternoon, injuring three people, according to Milford police.

The crash happened around 3:25 p.m. in the Cypress Hall Shopping Center off South DuPont Boulevard. Police say a gold Hyundai Elantra was traveling through the Dollar Tree parking lot when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway and crashed through the storefront.

Inside the store, the car hit a 97-year-old woman. She was airlifted to a nearby hospital and is listed in stable but critical condition.

Investigators say the driver, a 44-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital for treatment. A third person—a 76-year-old woman—was hit by falling debris during the crash. She was treated at a hospital and later released.

The car reportedly came to a stop at the back of the store.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area as emergency crews responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Patrolman D. Anderson at (302) 422-8081.
