DelDOT has announced the contractor who will complete the Georgetown-Lewes Trail. Out of five contractors, the final phase project was awarded to Atlantic Contracting & Material Company, Inc. at a bid of $17,495,207, said DelDOT Friday.
The Delaware Bicycle Council's meeting Wednesday provided updates on two transportation projects.
DelDOT says this final phase will be a six-mile section of trail that will run from Airport Road in Georgetown to Fisher Road in Milton.
The Delaware Department of Transportation says they are preparing to construct a 6.5 mile extension to the Lewes-Georgetown Trail that runs between Airport Road and Fisher Road.
