Delaware State University has signed an agreement with United Airlines that will provide its aviation students the opportunity to enter into a pilot career development program with United Airlines. The goal of the program is to provide a secure path to the company's flight deck and employment.
An expansion to the Delaware State University's Aviation Program will include helicopter training thanks to a partnership with the US Army Cadet Command.
The program will offer hands-on training and experiential learning opportunities, giving students a chance to work on real aircrafts and learn from industry professionals as well as earn their FAA certification.
The new facility will allow Ocean Aviation to teach students in a classroom setting and through hands on training one-on one inside of its planes.
