Amateur photographers are invited to enter the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge's Annual Pass Photo Contest from Aug. 27 to Sept. 16. The winning image will be featured on the 2025 refuge pass and become part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s collection.
The annual Pony Penning event on Chincoteague Island is here. According to the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce, the event draws thousands of visitors from around the world, eager to witness the Chincoteague Ponies make their swim from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island.
