The Delaware Department of Correction said a 60-year-old inmate serving a murder sentence died March 20 at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus after his health deteriorated while in custody.

Maryland State Police are investigating the death of inmate Virgil Bernard Robinson, 38, found unresponsive at Eastern Correctional Institute in Somerset County. A person of interest has been identified, with charges pending the outcome of the investigation and autopsy.
