Delmarva will enjoy comfortable humidity, below-normal temperatures and mainly dry weather through the weekend before storm chances increase next week.

Refreshing air, sunshine and comfortable temperatures will give Delmarva one of its best stretches of summer weather through the weekend.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected from early Saturday through early Monday in Sussex County, with rising heat and humidity followed by a cold front bringing relief.

A wind advisory remains in effect until 9 p.m. Saturday for portions of Delmarva as gusts reach 40 to 50 mph. Temperatures will drop sharply overnight, falling into the low 20s by Sunday morning, with wind chills as low as 11 degrees. High pressure will bring dry but cold conditions through Monday before temperatures gradually rise into the 50s by Tuesday. A strong storm system midweek could bring heavy rain, strong winds, and possible severe weather Wednesday into Wednesday night before cooler conditions return late in the week.

A warm front lifting through the region will bring showers and thunderstorms to Delmarva, Coastal Sussex County, Ocean City, and Cambridge tonight, with a marginal risk of severe weather and heavy downpours.
