The Delaware Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is launching its new Wetsuit Exchange Program during the inaugural Surf Swap event in Rehoboth Beach.
The Delaware Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will hold its first-ever Surf Swap fundraiser on Nov. 2 in Rehoboth Beach, featuring used surfboard sales, live music and local art. Environmental organizations will also participate, offering activities for all ages to promote ocean stewardship and sustainability.
DNREC told CoastTV "the Department knows that, with the impacts of climate change creating more frequent, severe storm and dangerous conditions, unless more resources are committed for taking it on, the situation at the dune, beach and Route 1 north of the Indian River Bridge will become more dire."
According to Delaware Seashore State Park, the closure is expected to remain in place throughout the weekend.
