Delaware environmental experts have issued a recreational water advisory for Deauville Beach and the main beach in Cape Henlopen State Park after routine water quality testing found elevated levels of fecal indicator bacteria.
DNREC has lifted the swimming advisory for Lewes Beach, while the advisory at Herring Point Beach has been extended to Thursday.
DNREC announced Tuesday that Herring Point Beach at Cape Henlopen State Park and Lewes Beach North are under swimming advisories due to high levels of Enterococcus, a fecal indicator bacteria.
