The Delaware Soil and Health Partnership, an initiative started by the Sussex Conservation District focused on educating farmers on improving soil health, will be holding a field day on Aug. 20 and will feature equipment demonstrations and speakers including farmers from across Delaware and deputy secretary of agriculture, Chris Brosch.
The Brandywine Valley SPCA will be holding an adoption event for dogs and cats and offering waived adoption fees from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 2 at the Petco off of Coastal Highway, according to a statement from the organization. “By removing financial barriers, we open the door for more families to welcome a loving pet into their lives and help more animals find the homes they deserve,” Adam Lamb, Brandywine Valley SPCA CEO, said.
The Art League of Ocean City will be hosting a discussion on artificial intelligence in the arts, led by coordinator of instruction for Worcester County Public Schools, Diane Stulz, on Aug. 10. “Rather than telling AI to just edit this piece of work, we need to tell it to highlight any recommended edits and to tell me why,” Stulz said in a statement from the league.
