Salvatore Grasso is a New Jersey native who joined the CoastTV team in 2026 following his graduation from Rutgers. Now on Delmarva, he is excited to explore the many beaches and parks the region has to offer.

Sussex County Council voted 5-0 to approve a new forest preservation ordinance requiring developers to retain 30% of existing forest in designated growth areas and 50% in rural areas. The ordinance also sets new forest definitions, replanting requirements and a five-year look-back provision. The rules take effect three months after approval and will not apply to completed applications already on file before the effective date.

A traffic improvement project at Holland Glade Road and Coastal Highway in Rehoboth remains unfinished nearly a year after construction began. The new signal is active, but additional work is still needed to complete the four-way intersection, while people in the area say construction has contributed to confusion and congestion.
