WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. - Complete shoulder closures are scheduled to begin on a portion of Route 90 on Dec. 11. Crews will work weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with completion expected around mid-February, weather permitting.
Work will take place between Route 346 and an area just west of Route 113 for drainage improvement, including allowing a pipe to be repaired and for slope stabilization.
Drivers are asked to stay alert, slow down in work zones and look for reduced speed limits and driving pattern changes.
After a 21-day warning period that starts on Dec. 11, the State Highway Administration will deploy an automated speed enforcement system in the work zone. Maryland State Police will authorize citations for those driving above the posted speed limit of 55 m.p.h.
