LAUREL, Del. - The Laurel Police Department is investigating a crash that involved two buses.
According to police, the crash was reported after 7:30 a.m. near West 6th Street and Greene Avenue.
Police say the Laurel High School bus had 19 students and a bus driver inside.
The department says the Howard T. Ennis bus had a bus driver, an attendant, and three special needs students inside the bus during the crash.
Luckily, Laurel police say no one was hurt and required medical services.
The Laurel Police Department asks that parents and families cooperate with the school district’s extensive emergency planning procedures. These procedures are designed in the best interest of everyone involved.
According to the department, after the on-scene investigation, both buses continued their routes to their respective destinations.
Laurel Police says they understand this is a stressful experience for the students and parents, but these procedures are in place for this exact situation to ensure the best and safest outcome.
