A three run sixth inning broke a 1-1 tie with Appoquinimink and propelled Cape Henlopen to the 2022 DIAA baseball State Championship at Wilmington's Frawley Stadium.
The Jaguars had one last shot with the bases loaded in the 7th but Viking pitcher Brogan Evick got a strikeout to end the game.
It is the second state title for the Vikings, the first coming in 2018. Cape finishes the season with a 21-2 record.
