LEWES, Del. - People in Lewes gathered at Cape Henlopen State Park Sat. to honor May of 1945, when allies declared victory in Europe during World War II.
According to the Lewes Chamber of Commerce website, the event was from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who attended watched firing demonstrations, learned about Garrison life at Fort Miles, listened to guest speakers, and took a tour of the Fort Miles Museum.
