ELLENDALE, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday morning in an Ellendale neighborhood.
Troopers say they responded to a call at approximately 7:08 a.m. on Dec. 26, 2023, at a residence in the 18000 block of New Hope Road. According to police, a 65-year-old man, along with a 34-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were reportedly sleeping in a car when an unidentified suspect fired several rounds at the car.
They say the 65-year-old man was struck once in the arm and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other two individuals in the car were unharmed.
As of now, police have not released information about the suspect.
