DELMARVA - A tattoo artist with Delaware Branding Company took home a top honor at a tattoo festival in Maryland, according to the company.
The tattoo shop said Menna Artese won first place in the Best Lettering category at the Cruel Summer Tattoo Arts Festival in Waldorf. Artese earned the award for a scrolling tattoo of the word "Patience" on a customer's calf.
According to Delaware Branding Company, the three-day festival featured more than 150 tattoo artists from across the country and included live tattooing, competitions and local vendors. The event was held July 31 through Aug. 2 at the Jaycees Event Center.
