SALISBURY, Md. - Delmarva Power donated approximately 2,000 smoke alarms to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office and local fire departments on Wednesday, Oct. 25 as part of Fire Prevention Month.

According to Pepco Holdings, smoke alarms will be available to residents from counties such as Wicomico, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, and Worcester. 

Easton, Cambridge and Salisbury Fire Departments are some of the local departments that will receive donations, along with the Salisbury Office of the State Fire Marshal. 

The donation is part of Delmarva Power’s Emergency Services Partnership Program, also known as ESPP. The donation marks Delmarva Power ESPP’s twenty-third-year donating smoke alarms to state and county officials across Delaware and Maryland.
