Dewey Beach says it is searching for ways to increase town revenue
- Updated
The town of Dewey Beach says it is currently looking for more ways to bring in revenue since there is no property tax in Dewey. On top of there being no property tax, the town says it is trying to increase revenue in order to keep up with inflation. On Tuesday, November 14th, at the Budget and Finance Committee meeting, the committee proposed a few solutions to the problem. The committee suggested the town increase the hourly parking rate by 50 cents to a dollar or eliminate two of the free parking nights in the summer, which are currently Monday through Wednesday.
