Dewey Beach targets trash in peak season

DEWEY BEACH, Del.- The Town of Dewey Beach is doubling its amount of trash cans between Swede Street and Read Avenue on Coastal Highway.

Town Manager Bill Zolper said July and August are typically the busiest months for tourism, and increasing trash patrol is part of meeting the needs of the community.

In addition, the town has added an additional trash pickup rotation during the week.

Town leaders urge people to pick up stray trash as they see it.
