Dover police investigating robbery at Governor’s Café

Dover Police are investigating a robbery that happened at the Governor’s Café on Kings Highway. According to police, officers were called to the café around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, after someone reported a break-in. When officers arrived, they found that a window had been shattered.

DOVER, Del. - Dover Police are investigating a robbery that happened at the Governor’s Café on Kings Highway.

According to police, officers were called to the café around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, after someone reported a break-in. When officers arrived, they found that a window had been shattered.

Investigators say the robbery happened sometime between 5 p.m. on Monday, May 12, and 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13. Police say the suspect got inside by breaking the window and damaged several interior doors before leaving.

Right now, there are no suspects or leads.

The Dover Police Department is asking anyone with information to call (302) 736-7130. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online. A cash reward may be available for tips that lead to an arrest.
