DELMARVA - As summer nears, farmers markets across Delmarva are reopening for the 2025 season, offering fresh produce, handmade goods, and community connections. Here’s a look at where and when you can shop local this year: 

Milford

Riverwalk Farmers Market

The Riverwalk Farmers Market, Delaware’s longest-running farmers market, kicked off its 30th season on May 3. It is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October, with a fall market planned in November. Shoppers can find local produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, prepared foods, handmade art, and live entertainment.

Georgetown:

The Hops and Crops Market opened May 7 and is held every Wednesday through Oct. 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Revelation in Georgetown.

Milton

The Milton Farmers and Artisans Market begins its season May 16. It will be held every Friday through Sept. 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace Church, 514 Union St. The market is presented by the Cape Community Fund.

Lewes

HLFM

The Historic Lewes Farmers Market also opened May 3 and runs Saturdays through Sept. 27 at George H.P. Smith Park from 8 a.m. to noon.

A second market location at Crooked Hammock Brewery begins June 4, operating Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through Sept. 3.

Starting Oct. 4, the fall market moves to Lewes Elementary School, continuing Saturdays through Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Vendors sell fresh produce, meats, seafood, breads, baked goods, flowers, herbs, and more.

Rehoboth Beach

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market opened May 6 and is held every Tuesday through Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grove Park, next to the visitor center and museum. The market operates rain or shine.

Parking in the adjacent metered lot is free during market hours. Free permitted parking is also available within a two-block radius, including on Henlopen, Columbia, Sussex, Kent, Easton, and Felton streets.

Bethany Beach

The Sea Colony Farmers Market opens for its 15th season on Wednesday, June 4. It runs every Wednesday through Labor Day from 8 a.m. to noon.

All vendors are verified to sell only what they grow or produce within a 125-mile radius. This year’s lineup includes both returning favorites and new farms.

Berlin

Berlin’s Farmers Market began its season in early May and runs every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October, rain or shine.

More than 50 vendors offer produce, baked goods, honey, flowers, and more. A petting farm and live music—funded by the Worcester County Arts Council—are also featured during market hours.
