FENWICK ISLAND, Del, The Fenwick Town Council unanimously voted on Friday, Oct. 23 to change the language to an ordinance raising rental taxes.

Today's meeting eliminated subsection C which the town says is redundant with the new ordinance passed in July. The town says Friday's changes are just to clean up language.

According to the town, as of this year, motels and hotels pay a 4 percent tax to the town. All other rentals properties will pay a 7.5 percent tax.

The town said in the meeting these changes are to help align with the town's updated budget.
