MILFORD, Del. - Downtown Milford Inc. announced the return of First Friday events, beginning June 6 and continuing on July 4, Aug. 1, Sept. 5 and Oct. 3. Each event is scheduled to take place from 5 to 9 p.m.
The June 6 event will include the grand reopening of the Downtown Milford Inc. office at 15 N. Walnut St.
Each First Friday will feature a different theme aimed at attracting visitors, connecting the community and promoting local businesses. In most cases, Walnut Street will be closed to traffic to create a pedestrian-friendly space for attendees.
The July 4 event, titled “Picnic in the Park,” will take place at Bicentennial Park and include live music. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic meal or purchase food from local restaurants and food trucks.
Themes for future events include International Night on Aug. 1, Back to School Night on Sept. 5, and Fiesta Night on Oct. 3, which will highlight Hispanic Heritage Month.
