GEORGETOWN, Del. – A Georgetown woman is facing charges after Delaware State Police say she drove toward a Correctional Officer who was supervising a work crew in Ellendale.
According to police, the incident happened on May 2 around 8:47 a.m. on Reynolds Pond Road, where a Department of Correction work crew from the Sussex Community Corrections Center was operating under supervision.
Troopers say 26-year-old Inessa Bagwell was seen speaking with the people on the work crew. The Correctional Officer told her to leave the area. She did, but allegedly returned shortly after, argued with the officer, then drove a black Pontiac G6 toward him, nearly hitting him, before running away in the car.
