ELLENDALE, Del. - Delaware State Police arrested 55-year-old Richard Boyd of Greenwood for felony theft on Oct. 23.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers were called to a home on Rockin Way in Ellendale when the 73-year-old homeowner discovered two 40-foot light poles were stolen from his property. During an investigation troopers identified Boyd as a suspect.

On Monday, troopers were notified by Georgetown Probation and Parole that Boyd was in their custody. Boyd was later taken to the Troop 4 station.

He is being charged with two felonies: theft greater than $1,500 and victim is older than 62 years, and conspiracy second degree.

Boyd was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
