Hebron Carnival

HEBRON, Del.- A family-fun tradition returns! The Hebron Carnival is back in Wicomico County.

The carnival has been a staple of Hebron for nearly a century. Every year the grounds grow and change, but the carnival comes back with a hometown feel, for a local hometown cause.

The carnival supports the Hebron Volunteer Fire Company.

"Operating expenses just like a home or business. It helps pay for training, upkeep of equipment," said Pete Peterman with the fire company.

Something for the older and newer generations, the carnival has classic rides and family favorites. While others, are making their debut. Each year the fire company tries to add something new.

"We do have a few games that are new this year. We have some new raffles. We are giving away a 2022 Polaris UTV, said Peterman.

Riding roller coasters and throwing darts can work up an appetite. Along cotton candy, funnel cakes, and candy apples, the carnival is known for its oyster sandwiches.

The Hebron Carnival is happening right now Wednesday through Saturday. The kitchen opens at 6:30 and rides start at 7:15.
